Taiwan Little League Fight into the World, Earns Trip to Williamsport for the 75th LLBWS

Introduction

Fu-Lin Little League defeated South Korea 1-0 on July 4th and will now represent the Asia-Pacific Region at the Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport this August. Taiwan has not participated in the game in seven years.

Little League Baseball World Series was first held in 1947 by Little League Baseball and is held every August in South Williamsport.

In 1968, Taitung Red Leaves swept 7-0 to beat an all-star youth team from Japan. This win is commonly cited as the starting point of baseball fever in Taiwan, resulting in the win of the Taichung Golden Dragons the following year at the 1969 Little League World Series in South Williamsport.

This year, the Fu-Lin Little League began winning in repechage and eventually defeated South Korea, earning Asia-Pacific Region representation. Taiwan returns to the Little League Baseball World Series after a seven-year absence. We are excited to see the teenagers show their strength, sway their blood, win glory for Taiwan again, and show the world Taiwan’s enthusiasm.

Tiger is the mascot of Fu-Lin Little League, and their main color is blue. A black background with a golden frame creates an elegant texture. From August 17 to August 28, the Little League Baseball World Series will be held in South Williamsport. For the first game, Chinese Taipei will face an African region team. During the parade, the Taiwan team exchanged gifts and souvenirs with local residents, including a custom team badge made by Chung Jen International.

Fu Lin Little League defeated the Italy team by a score of 2: 0 on 8/18.

Ambassador James K. J. Lee visited Williamsport to watch a game of Fu Lin Little League. The mayor of Williamsport and the Congressman Dan Meuser, attended the game and expressed their support for Taiwan.

Dan Meuser was overjoyed when he received the Fu Lin custom team badge.

Fu Lin Little League defeated the Panama team by a score of 7 : 0 on 8/22.

On August 26, Fu Lin Little League defeated the strong enemy Mexican team 5-1, which had the most homeruns, to win the international team championship and advance to the semi-final game.

On August 28, Caribbean Representative Team Curaçao shut out Taiwan 1-0 to move to the LLWS championship game.

On 8/28 night, Fu Lin Little League shut out their third opponent, taking third place over Tennessee in the Little League World Series And this year, Taiwan got the best grade in the twelve years.
