For the first time, the Taiwan Lantern Festival is being held in the heart of Taipei, creating a "city-style lantern festival." Connecting the entire festival area via the MRT, it features four main exhibition zones and twelve administrative districts representing Taipei's cities, showcasing lantern displays and seamlessly integrating the festival with the urban landscape. Originating in Taipei, the festival itself is the protagonist, radiating a warm and inviting light that illuminates and perpetuates this beauty within the city. The Taiwan Lantern Festival brings a unique spark to Taipei, illuminating the city with the light of hope. Following the path of light, Taipei leads us towards the future.

– New character for the Year of the Rabbit 2023: Light Source Rabbit –

The Light Source Rabbit is a rabbit from the future. Its three ears symbolize the three strokes of the Chinese character for "light." Its ears are also signal receivers and transmitters, capable of receiving various information from around the world and conveying the beauty of Taipei to the world.

Officially authorized production of Taiwan Lantern Festival logo glow-in-the-dark badges

Chung Jen International's design brand, Onlygo Life Creative, participated in Pinkoi's "Light Source Taipei" Taiwan Lantern Festival merchandise project in 2023. They were fortunate to stand out from hundreds of design proposals and become one of the manufacturers of merchandise for the "2023 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Taipei", launching exclusive image badges for the 2023 Taiwan Lantern Festival.

The designers at Onlygo incorporated the Lantern Festival tradition of carrying lanterns into the imagery of this year's theme, "Taipei as a Light Source," and combined it with the new luminous badge launched this year. Continuing the meaning of the main visual, the luminous badge can emit light in the dark, becoming a guide and bringing hope. In addition, it is designed with the Light Source Rabbit of this Taiwan Lantern Festival and Taipei attractions, so even at night when it does not emit a luminous effect, the design of this badge is quite attractive.

There are 12 designs of glow-in-the-dark badges, including 6 different poses of light-emitting rabbits, 5 auxiliary graphic buildings (Taipei City Government, Elephant Mountain, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, Taipei Metro, Songshan Cultural and Creative Park), and 1 star design which is a pure inkjet print and does not have a glow-in-the-dark effect.

This series is produced by Chung-Jen International Co., Ltd., using high-quality zinc alloy to make badges. Professional techniques are used to depict the light source rabbit and Taipei landmarks in the luminous pigment. The packaging adopts the main visual design of the 2023 Taiwan Lantern Festival, placing the product in the original position of the luminous sphere, so that the luminous badge is focused on the land like a sphere of light, in front of the rainbow.

We offer gift box packaging, with transparent PVC material that allows people to clearly see the glow-in-the-dark badge inside. The back card also features a starlight and rainbow design, creating the scene of the Light Source Rabbit wandering in the cosmos. The waist band uses the main visual design of the 2023 Taiwan Lantern Festival and emphasizes the logo of Light Source Taipei.
