Once the mold is ready, sampling takes approximately 10–15 days, depending on design complexity and current production capacity. • 2D relief raises the design in flat layers, giving sharp outlines and crisp text and lines, and it makes color fill easy. It suits designs built from logos, text, or line work.
• 3D relief sculpts the design in full dimension, with rich layering and a strong sense of depth—ideal for portraits, buildings, animals, and other subjects that need fine contours. 3D relief can show off metal texture through different plating colors, and it can also be digitally printed after plating to bring the design to life.

• Soft enamel: Raised metal lines with recessed color areas create a tactile, dimensional feel. It is cost-effective, suiting larger quantities on a limited budget while keeping layered metal lines and a quality look.
• Imitation hard enamel: A smooth, glossy surface that looks premium and resists scratches. It suits buyers who prioritize a professional image and durability, or products sold at a higher price point or as collectibles.
• Digital printing: Suited to artwork with gradients, photos, or subtle color transitions, reproducing color detail faithfully.

• Zinc alloy: Suitable for 3D relief and complex shapes, with a solid feel. The most common material for custom badges.
• Copper: Stamped, lighter and thinner; suited to flat designs with printed artwork.

• Stainless steel: Artwork is applied by printing.

Common backings include a pin post with butterfly clutch, a safety pin, and a magnetic back. Iron badges are magnetic themselves and can be paired directly with magnetic fittings. If the badge will be attached to caps, bags, or thick fabric, let us know when requesting a quote and we will advise based on actual production conditions.

The back of a single-sided badge can also carry a custom logo, so your brand shows on both sides. Methods and costs depend on your design—please confirm with our sales team.

Yes. Standard packaging is an OPP bag, and it can be changed to a backing card, gift box, or other format. Backing cards and packaging can also carry your own design. Packaging affects unit price and lead time, so please include your requirements at the quotation stage.
